blog-tember | three . seasonal favourites

Today's challenge was to reflect on our seasonal favourites of Summer, now that it's coming to an end. Living in Australia, we're actually coming out of Winter (which is one of my favourite seasons), so I'm going to reflect on those.

. weather
I love the cooler months. Here in Melbourne, it gets very cold and very wet, but to me, that's the perfect weather for snuggling up in a blanket with a cup of tea and a good book. This year did not disappoint.

. tea
This Winter I've made a concerted effort to drink a lot of tea (mostly because I have a cupboard full of it and I'm not supposed to buy any more until I drink what I already have!). My favourites have included Kiwi Sorbet by T2, Holiday Tea by Harney & Sons, various Peppermint teas. Preferably in my giant green tea-cup.

. books
If you've been following along on my blog you'll know I've dived back into reading after a very long time of not reading much at all. You can check out all the books I've read over Winter here, but my favourites have included A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas, The Martian by Andy Weir, and Eon and Eona by Alison Goodman.

. clothing
I'm Melbourne born and bred and I live in black clothes with various patterns, and usually with pops of colour. More specifically, in Winter I love rocking various scarves of which I currently have two boxes full of.

. planners and planning
I'm loving my new Kikki.K Pink Lavender personal planner.

. music
I've been loving Adele's 25. My favourite songs include Hello, Water Under the Bridge and Love in the Dark.

What about you? What were your seasonal favourites?

  2. Oh wow, you've had a season full of my favorite things! Tea, lots of reading, and wearing scarves… I live in Texas so it'll be a long time until we get some cool weather, so I envy you right now while its 93 degrees outside at the moment!
