Blog-tember Day 7 | Blog Origins
8:45 PM
Sorry for missing yesterday's post - I was interstate and got home late and was super tired, but I'm linking up again today! (Missing one day is okay, right?)
Day 7's prompt is: Tell us about your blog name. Where did it come from?
I've used the name 'Noveltea' for nearly a decade, on and off.
This blog is fairly new, but back in my teens, I had a blog that was simply 'Noveltea.' (I also wrote fan fiction under that name. Shh! Don't tell anyone!)
When I started teaching, I started a new blog for my profession and took on the title Miss Galvin Learns (and you can check out that blog here, if you're interested), and 'Noveltea' kind of got pushed to the side.
However, when I started on my Youtube and Etsy journey, I needed to find an online identify that I identified with, and I went back to my beloved 'Noveltea' title, and it became The Noveltea Corner.
So, how did it start?
Way back when, I was trying to think of an online name that summed me up fairly succinctly. At that point, I loved reading and I loved tea (and I still do!). I also loved fun and unique things. This eventually became the basis for the name 'novel' (books, also interesting/unique things) and 'tea' (the hot beverage that will never go out of fashion!).
The Noveltea Corner (with added words) is really my corner of the world - a space for me to express who I am, what I love and to share it with those who are curious. I make no excuses for who I am, the things I love, or what I create. I embrace my uniqueness and mistakes and want to create aspace where people can feel safe to do the same thing.
That's my story. If you're curious about the story behind a range of other wonderful blogs, don't forget to check out the links by clicking the button below.
Until tomorrow, my friends, have a wonderful day!
